April fun

April already...the year is just breezing by....crazy stuff! We haven't been up to much, just enjoying the pretty days outside and having fun playing. Chase is constantly wanting to be outside and loves playing ball, digging in the garden, shoveling rocks and sand and more. He also loves to turn on the radio in our room and dance. The other day, he turned it on and started in dancing and he says "Mom, check out my dance moves"! He was too cute bopping around and kept turning around and sticking out his butt...have to get this on video for sure!

The other day we were out playing with our first bubbles for the season. He had a great time chasing them and trying to pop them. Crazy how fascinating bubbles are to kids!!

Picking flowers for mama! Such a sweetie!

We have been visiting parks and playing too. This one always has to be on the go. He wakes up on the weekends and his first question is "where are we going today"! Loves to be out and about for sure. We took a trip to Memorial Park and he loved playing with the other kids.

Look at my big "tick" mom!

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Stephen's Lake in Columbia. I have wanted to go but never have. Looking forward to the summer as they have a swimming beach and a sprayground that looks like lots of fun. It was definitely warm enough to jump in some water that day....Chase has some rosey cheeks, but that didn't stop him from playing and he was not happy when we had to leave. We walked around the park, had a picnic, threw rocks in the lake and played in the huge "sandbox" area. We didn't know about the sandbox, so we weren't prepared with a bucket and shovel...but improvised with spoons and bowls from our picnic...he was happy with that!! Really neat place!!

What's this mom???

Picnic time

After having some fun at the park with all the sand, we had to make a trip to the Dollar Tree to find a pail and shovel. Of course, we have to go to the toy aisle too. After 45 minutes trying to decide, he picks this styrofoam plane.....best $1 I ever spent...I ought to get a few more. He just loves flying it and chasing it too!

Chatterbox telling me a long winded story....so like his mother!

Did NOT want to go inside

Yesterday, we decided to color some easter eggs. He loved it and was very good at it too...not messy at all. He really wants to eat the eggs though and doesn't want to wait for the Easter Bunny to hide them!

Ta-Da....looks at that craftmanship!

Chase had been watching Dino Dan and Dan had dino gear to go hunt dinosaurs. Chase caming running in and said "Mom, I need dino gear". So we found a hat, backpack, butterfly net (notice the dinosaur in it!) and he had tongs too...but not in this picture. He played forever hunting dinosaurs and he had daddy helping too. Daddy was wearing a cape...but he wouldn't allow a picture of that!! :)

The other night, our electricity went out and was out for about 30 minutes when we decided to take a ride and see what happened (found out later a transformer blew in the neighborhood). As we were getting ready to go, Chase asked where we were going and I told him we were going to go for a ride and try to figure out what happened to make the electricity go out and he says "Mom, it's a mystery". Where does he get these things???

Last night, I had gone to check on him in bed and he usually stirs when he hears me. He lifted his head, still asleep and says "hugs and kisses" so I lean down and puts his arms around me and gives me so love. He is so darn cute and sweet sometimes....good thing cause it helps make up for the times he is a little turd!!

Final picture from this morning. He loves to play and watch himself in this big mirror in the hall. He loved the picture of the two Chases....thank goodness there is only one!!

Hello blogland...notice it has only been a couple weeks since I last updated? I do try to keep up to date!! Not a lot going on lately...which is really just fine by me. So much rush and traveling recently, plus going to Chicago at the end of March and Branson at the end of April for work....I need some time to just catch up!
Mr Man is up to his usual antics....always keepin' us smiling and laughing for sure. He is in a pretending stage right now and he takes it to the full extent. He likes to mimic his favorite characters and so we are always hearing:
Mom, you be Wendy and I be Bob (Bob the Builder) or.....
Mom, you be Izzy, I be Jake and Daddy be Cubby (Jake and the Neverland Pirates) or...
Mom, you be Millie and I be Geo (Team Umizoomi) and the list goes on. Usually he gets the gender right...but the other night he says...Mom, you be the daddy and I be the Mommy....but I quickly replied back...how 'bout you be the Daddy and I be the Mommy...he says...okay Mom! He has quite the imagination for sure.
He was playing with his bike the other night and rolled off into the grass and he says "oh no, I (s)tuck in the mud...now my tire is all muddy". We're like....no it's not.....his response..."I just b-tending mom!". Then he says...now I got to go to the bicycle car wash!!
He also is SO NOT afraid of strangers right now...in fact, quite the opposite. He wants to talk their ear off....no matter where we go...the other day, we were at Sonic and I had to roll down the back window so he could talk to the Sonic girl. He goes on and on and although I completely understand him...I don't think they do....they just nod and say "uh-huh". Probably doesn't help that he goes a mile a minute.
This past Sunday was just beautiful...although spring and mid-March mean pure torture for me when it comes to allergies. You would think I would remember to start preparing by taking Zyrtec or something, but every year, it seems what worked the year before doesn't work anymore. So I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection on top of it all. Anyway after the rainy day Saturday, we got out for a while on Sunday and went to the playground down the street from our house and had dinner at Mom and Dad's.

Love that expression!

Always so serious!!

My good luck charm! (from St Patty's Day)

World Traveler

Oops....forgot a couple! When I was packing for my trip, Chase decided he wanted to climb in my suitcase (Myth used to do this too when I got them out). He loved it and wanted me to zip him up in it...don't worry, I didn't!! But I did have to roll him around the house in it. He did not want to get out!!

Mardi Gras 2011

We attended our seventh (I think) Mardi Gras in St Louis last weekend. It was later than usual this year and didn't conflict with my other trip, so we decided to go. I thought Daddy needed a weekend off too! So we headed to St Louis, just the two of us this time. We had a really good time....it always is. Lots of fun watching the parade and getting beads, having drinks and meat on a stick :), people watching and making fun of the crazy people that are there each year!!

Grand Parade

Crazy crowds

Me and hubs beaded up and ready to go

Self portraits :)

Sand and Surf

Just four short hours after Chase's birthday party, I was on my way to St Louis to catch a plane early on Sunday morning to the Dominican Republic. The MDA each year puts on a Travel and Learn program for our dentists and I got to go this year for the first time. It was a little work...but mostly play. It was seven long day of mostly relaxing on the beach and soaking up the sun. We had CE programs a couple mornings too. It was beautiful and very, very nice but I really did miss my boys terribly. They survived but I am pretty sure they missed me...well at least I know Chase did :).

The view from our room. We had a swim up suite and the pool snaked around a lot of the resort.

Awesome chandelier in the main lobby.

On the beach

Outside the resort

An old shipwreck off shore

The lower lobby...everything was so big and grand.

It reminded me of Titanic

The courtyard outside our room

Me, Stacey and Vicki - all MDA girls!

The DR airport.....much different from STL

Our big man is three!

Lots of posts...lots to catch up....bear with me!!
Chase on his actual birthday...sporting his dinosaur shirt!

Mr Man is a 3 year old. CANNOT.BELEIVE.IT! He is such a little rascal!! He very much enjoyed his dinosaur party and had a fun time playing with friends, opening gifts and blowing out the candles. It was a fun day for him and I just loved putting it together for him. Thanks to everyone who could make it!

Ned from Dinosaur Train...adding to the collection.

Doesn't it look like they are just talking about what it could be???

All smiles while everyone is singing Happy Birthday.

Blowing out the candles.
