We had company..............

Jill, Riley and Baby Camden came from Kansas City to visit yesterday. Camden and Chase's due dates were only one day apart - March 31 and April 1. We both went early, Chase on the 18th and Camden on the 28th. He was 4lbs 12 ozs at birth and is now up to 9lbs. They are neck and neck.....gotta love the picture......hard enough to get a good picture of one baby, much less two....he is too cute though, lots of thick, black hair.

Sleepy little man

Just a quick picture of little man snoozing in his favorite position.....butt in the air!

2 month appointment

Wednesday was Chase's two month appointment (even though he is 9 1/2 weeks old!) and he got shots......he was quite the trooper though. I really expected lots of crying but he did really well, just crying for a couple of seconds and then he calmed down. He now weighs 11lbs 5 ozs and is 22 1/4 inches long. Getting big.....he is in the 50th percentile for weight, 25th percentile for height and 15th percentile for head circumference. Dr Rogers is happy with his progress and felt he was very alert and moving around like mad considering he would be less than a month old had he gone to term.

Greetings - 2 months later.........

So it has been a long two months, huh? I want to try and get back here every couple of days and update with pictures and such for Mr. Chase.

He is getting so big. On Sunday, we weighed him and he was 10lbs - 11ozs, can you believe it??? We go back to the doctor next Thursday, so we will see how everything is going. It is his 2 month appt, but he will actually be 10 weeks....we got off somehow! He has been a little cranky lately I think due to a snotty nose. I think it may be allergies, but who knows.

I am uploading some pictures from his 1 month pictures. The one in the blue blanket is my favorite. I am sending out announcements soon, so be on the lookout!

33 weeks

Another week, another ultrasound. Just went for the ultrasound this week, did not get to see the doctor. Baby Chase was a champ again this time and got 8 out of 8 again.....and was very quick about it too! When they first started the ultrasound, he let out a big yawn! He did the practice breathing, all the movements, his HB was 162 and amniotic fluid levels were perfect. Look closely at the ultrasound picture.....you will see he has his fingers in his mouth!

Things are better this week too, we are both feeling much better than last week and both back at work. Not much else going on around here. We have maternity pictures on Saturday and then are looking forward to having Monday off too!

Have a great week everyone!

32 weeks

Just one picture for this week. The tech said he was sticking out his upper lip in this one.....can't believe how real he looks. I almost feel like I know him already just from the latest pictures. He did great this time and passed his tests, 8 out of 8. Dr Claypool says everything continues to look good, so we are very happy!

Beth Stokes and I enjoyed some nice prenatal massages at Spa Shiki on Saturday. We had planned them back before Christmas and were so looking forward to them. It was very relaxing and a really nice place. We, of course, had to do some baby shopping afterwords too!

Famous and I are both sick this week, fortunately for me, it was only a sinus infection, but it made for a miserable couple of days. Famous started feeling bad on Tuesday and went to the dr on Wednesday and he has influenza. Luckily, he went quickly enough that they were able to give him something for it. He is feeling a little better today though!

More ultrasounds :), although these aren't as clear. One is of his ear, another of his profile and one of his face and arm. Today's appointment was the third biophysical. We only scored 6 out of 8 because he did not do his practice breathing for 30 consecutive seconds. He took several breaths but not for the 30 seconds. She said this was nothing to be alarmed about, we know he can do it, because he did it the last two times, it is just a marker for the doctors to watch. We did find out that he is now 3lbs 14ozs and is in the 61st percentile (on 1/4 he was 2lbs 10ozs and in the 80th percentile). Can't believe he is getting so big! Not much longer to go!!
